Dean and Anna Papadopoulos, the owners of Friendly Pizza  & Restaurant were brought up in a family of restaurateurs.  In 1963, their Parents,  Aunt & Uncle and bought their first restaurant called the 'Pizza House' in New Haven,.  The Pizza House, located on Howe St. continues to be a part of New Haven's tradition serving local residents, college students and visitors.

In 1978,  their parents moved to Madison, CT where they opened up 'Village Pizza & Restaurant'.  The success of the restaurant was surprising considering the town had such a small population.  As Dean and Anna grew older, they began working and learning the family business.   They were taught that hard work and determination were essential to achieving success.  Today, Village Pizza remains one Madison's most well known establishments.

In 1992,  the Pilot House Restaurant, located in Westbrook was opened.  This was an upscale restaurant & lounge.  It was there that Dean and Anna both learned the dynamics of restaurant management.  With a staff of over 30, and seating for over 300 people, running such a large restaurant proved to be very challenging and rewarding.

In 2002,  Dean and Anna bought Friendly Pizza  in Uncasville, CT.  Over the past five years, they have expanded the menu  to offer a variety of delicious meals.  The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are very accommodating.
